Michael Fassbender’s Assassin’s Creed movie has been kicking around for a while now but production is officially underway.
Polygon reports that Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot announced that shooting has begun on the film of the hugely popular videogame series, which is being directed by Snowtown‘s Justin Kurzel. Kurzel also worked with Fassbender on his upcoming adaptation of Macbeth.
A release date of 21 December 2016 was also announced for the film, about which very, very little is known. All we know is that Fassbender has been attached for a long time as producer and star, and that the project is finally underway.
