When asked about the mask worn by regular DC Universe supervillain and mercenary master assassin Deathstroke spotted on the island seen in the most recent Arrow footage, star Stephen Amell, who plays Oliver Queen, the titular Green Arrow, suggested that it’s more than an glib reference, and we should expect full-on Smallville-style cameos.
“Based on my experience talking to Drew [Kreisberg] and Marc [Guggenheim] who are sort of our two head showrunners, I don’t think that they’re going to drop Easter eggs in there if they don’t plan on delivering,” Amell told The Huffington Post.
Proving out that theory, Michael Rowe has been cast in Episode 3 as the sharp-shooting Batman villain Deadshot, and it’s “very possible” he’ll be back.
“Deadshot doesn’t speak much, so he has to have that physicality,” executive producer Marc Guggenheim told TV Guide. “And Michael certainly has that – he has that look.”
Arrow is expected to air on Sky Living HD later in the year.
