American Gods adds more cast members as production begins

The TV adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s American Gods may have already started production this week, but it’s also still adding cast members.

The latest additions include Cloris Leachman (Young Frankenstein) as the Evening star Zorya Vechernyaya, Peter Stormare (Prison Break) as Slavic god of darkness Czernobog, Chris Obi (Snow White And The Huntsman) as Egyptian god of the dead Anubis and Mousa Kraish (Superbad) as The Jinn.

The newbies will be joining the likes of Ricky Whittle as Shadow Moon, Ian McShane as Mr Wednesday, Emily Browning as Laura Moon, Sean Harris as Mad Sweeney, Yetide Badaki as Bilquis, Bruce Langley as Technical Boy, Jonathan Tucker as Low Key Lyesmith and Crispin Glover as Mr World.

The American Gods TV series was created and written by Bryan Fuller and Michael Green, both of whom are also acting as showrunners, and Fuller, Green, Neil Gaiman, Craig Cegielski, Stefanie Berk and Thom Beers are all serving as executive producers.
