Fan-favourite superhero show Alphas hasn’t been picked up for Season 3, according to Syfy.
“We’ve been proud to present this entertaining, high-quality series for two seasons and to work with an incredible ensemble of talented actors, producers and creatives,” said the network in a statement.
“We’d like to thank the show’s dedicated regular viewers for their tremendous support.”
“Sad to say that Alphas will not be returning, said Azita Ghanizada, who played hyper-sensetive former CIA linguist Rachel Pirzad. “What an honour to get to play Rachel for two years and to work with and for the MOST AMAZING PEOPLE EVER.”
Co-creator and X-Men: The Last Stand writer Zakk Penn tweeted, “Appreciate the tweets. Six year journey for me and [co-creator] @mkarnow comes to an end. But a new one begins soon. To Vegas. Where it all began.
“In retrospect,” he added, sarcastically, “we should’ve just cast Snooki and Ke$ha like the network wanted. Hindsight is always 20/20.”
