The first trailer for David Michôd’s dystopian outback revenge movie The Rover, starring Guy Pearce and Robert Pattinson, has appeared and it looks stunning.
“In a dangerous near future in the Australian desert, Eric (Pearce) has left everything behind, but when his last possession is stolen by a gang of dangerous criminals, Eric sets off on a hunt to find them. Along the journey he enlists the help of Rey (Pattinson), the naïve and injured member of the gang, who was left behind.”
Michôd (Animal Kingdom) wrote and directed the film, based on a story he and Zero Dark Thirty star Joel Edgerton came up with. The Rover also stars the excellent Scoot McNairy (Monsters, 12 Years A Slave).
