Warner Bros’ increasingly overstuffed Man Of Steel sequel, which seems to be pitting Superman against Batman while Wonder Woman looks on, has been back 10 months to 6 May 2016 from its original release date of 17 July 2015.

Given the recent rewrites from Argo‘s Chris Terrio and the expanding cast, it’s not a huge surprise, but the Batman Vs Superman movie is now going up against a mystery Marvel film penned in for release on the same day.

Warner Bros said in a statement, “We are happy to take advantage of these coveted summer dates, which are perfect for two of our biggest tentpole releases.

“We share the fans’ excitement to see DC Comics’ most popular figures, Superman and Batman, together on the big screen for the first time, which will now be arriving in theatres in May 2016.”

One rumour floating around on Batman-News.com, is that Batman star Ben Affleck has injured his ribs, pushing production back by six weeks.
