Chris Carter, the man who created The X-Files, will write and direct a pilot episode for a new series called The After for Amazon.
Deadline reports that Carter’s pilot will be his first in a decade, following Millennium and Harsh Realm. All we know about the project is that it “takes place at the moment of apocalypse.”
There’s been a lot of speculation for a while now about when exactly Chris Carter would return to TV, and with what show, and the move to Amazon represents an intriguing new angle for the writer. We’ll just have to keep holding our breath for a new X-Files film.
