According to The Wrap, Total Recall and Underworld director Len Wiseman has left The Mummy reboot due to scheduling issues.

Producers Sean Daniels, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are hunting a replacement, and there’s no news as to whether the projected 2014 release will be changed, nor the vision for the film which based on a script from Prometheus‘ Jon Spaihts (or The Hunger Games‘ Billy Ray) purports to be darker and scarier, while giving the Mummy more humanity.

The original 1932 Universal horror movie The Mummy is available on Blu-ray now from Amazon.co.uk priced £10.
