Supernatural executive producer Robert Singer revealed at San Diego Comic Con that Supernatural Season 9 will contain a back-door pilot for an all-new spin-off show, much in the same (torn) vein as The Vampire Diaries‘ hotly tipped new show The Originals, also from The CW.
According to Digital Spy, episode 20 will be the pilot, and Supernatural stars Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles are expected to make appearances in the show.
