Answering fan questions on ComingSoon.net, Avengers Assemble director and Marvel Phase 2 overseer Joss Whedon skirted the larger issue of the rights to Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver in the Marvel movies, and confirmed, yes, he will still be using the characters despite Bryan Singer somewhat bitchily casting Quicksilver in X-Men: Days Of Future Past.
“That’s not something I can really talk about,” admitted Whedon, “but Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch are going to be in the movie and they’re going to be AWESOME.”
