Dominic Mitchell’s BBC 3 zombie drama In The Flesh concluded its three-part run on Sunday night, leaving many of us anxious for a second series.

We asked star Luke Newberry, who played PDS-sufferer Kieren on the show, whether he’d be up for In The Flesh series 2, and his answer was resoundingly positive.

“Definitely, I would say so. It works brilliantly as a self-contained three part drama, but there are things in it that aren’t quite explained. I think we’d be able to go further and it would be interesting to find out what happens to Kieren and what happens to all these other characters after all this, and what’s next for the village of Roarton. It would be amazing and I’d love to do it, but obviously it all depends.”

Fingers crossed for an announcement from the BBC soon, but in the meantime you can read our review of the final episode here.

In The Flesh is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
