The CW has officially ordered new seasons from its flagship genre shows – no surprise, as all were doing very well, but it’s nice to have the confirmation that we’ll be getting a Arrow Season 2, Supernatural Season 9 and The Vampire Diaries Season 5.
“We said last year that one of our goals was to establish building blocks to grow on, and now with our new hit Arrow and fan favourite Supernatural on Wednesday night, and the continued success of The Vampire Diaries on Thursday, we’ve been able to do that,” said The CW president Mark Pedowitz.
“Not only do Arrow, Supernatural and The Vampire Diaries perform well on-air, they’re also extremely successful for us both digitally and socially. I’m thrilled to have all three shows returning to our schedule next season.”
Supernatural Season 8 is expected to finally air this summer on Sky Living. Supernatural Season 7 is out now buy it on DVD for £26.97 or Blu-ray for £34.25 from Amazon.co.uk.
