Robert Downey Jr buys Black Mirror film rights

Iron Man star has movie rights to Black Mirror episode ‘The Entire History of You’

Toby Kebbell and Jodie Whittaker starred in ‘The Entire History of You’

Robert Downey Jr. has bought the movie rights to the first series episode of Charlie Brooker’s Black Mirror ‘The Entire History Of You’

Bleeding Cool are reporting that Tony Stark himself fought off stiff competition (including George Clooney) to pick up the rights to the episode, which was written by Jesse Armstrong (Four Lions, In the Loop, Peep Show) and was set in a near-future in which everything you see is recorded and available for replay at a push of a button.

Toby Kebbell (Wrath Of The Titans, Dead Man’s Shoes) and Jodie Whittaker (Attack The Block) played the couple who were forced to face some uncomfortable truths.

Series 2 of Black Mirror starts 11 February 2013 at 10:00pm on Channel 4. You can buy the first series of Black Mirror on DVD for £7.75 on Amazon.co.uk
