Emma Stone up for Guillermo del Toro’s Crimson Peak

Guillermo del Toro wants Emma Stone for his haunted house movie Crimson Peak

Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man

Emma Stone is in talks to star in Guillermo del Toro’s Crimson Peak, the director’s follow-up to Pacific Rim. The Amazing Spider-Man star is expected to sign on for the haunted house film, according to Variety.

The film will reportedly be a throwback to the big haunted house movies of old, with emphasis on high production value, which sounds very exciting. The same source is also reporting that shooting isn’t expected to begin until February 2014, as del Toro’s focus is understandably on Pacific Rim at the moment, and Stone will be shooting The Amazing Spider-Man 2 over summer 2013.

You can buy the Guillermo del Toro collection (including Cronos, The Devil’s Backbone and Pan’s Labyrinth) for £10.26 on DVD at Amazon.co.uk
