Lego Marvel Superheroes videogame is coming

Thor, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Wolverine and more appear in this super-powered videogame

You know what to expect from Lego video games by now: a lot of collecting coins and rib-tickling scenes from your favourite films reenacted by loveable Lego figures. Is there anything cuter than a little plastic Batman running around Gotham City? Maybe Thor and Hulk can beat that. There’s no such thing as muscly and manly in Lego land.

The plot for Lego Marvel Superheroes is an original storyline where Nick Fury, head of SHIELD, recruits Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Spider-Man, Wolverine and “other heroes” to stop Loki and Galactus. There are over 100 characters to unlock and players can roam New York and beyond Earth.

“Fans of both LEGO and Marvel have wanted this game for years, and we’re addressing that demand with more Marvel Universe characters than ever in a console game,” said TQ Jefferson, Vice President, Games Production, Marvel Entertainment.

“If you’re a fan of Spider-Man, the Avengers, Fantastic Four, X-Men, Guardians of the Galaxy or scores of other Marvel characters, this is the game for you.”

Lego Marvel Superheroes: The Video Game will be released autumn 2013 for 3DS, DS, PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Vita and Wii U.
