As if the weird Batplane-hovercraft-flying saucer wasn’t enough, Christopher Nolan’s final Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises, was close to having a Batboat as well.
Speaking to Digital Spy, special effects artist Chris Corbould revealed, “I was heavily pushing for a Batboat!
“I love working on water and thought it would have been a great Bat-vehicle,” he continued. “Chris felt that it wasn’t big enough for the last in his trilogy so he went for [The Bat instead].”
The Dark Knight Rises is released on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Download from 3 December 2012. Pre-order it now on Blu-ray for £14.99 and DVD for £9.99 from Amazon.co.uk.
