Max Landis has finished the script for the follow-up to this year’s sci-fi sleeper hit Chronicle, but the bad news is that it might not ever see the big screen, as the studio want to replicate the success of the first outing – right down to its core.
Speaking to The Playlist, Max’s father and American Werewolf In London director John Landis explained, “He wrote a sequel and it’s amazing, and the studio read it and said, ‘We want Chronicle again!’ And he said, ‘No, this is the sequel, it’s the evolution, and they said ‘No, we want that movie again!’ So it’s difficult, we’re dealing with a difficult business.’”
