As X-Men: First Class‘s follow-up will explore the comic-books’ pioneering Days Of Future Past storyline in which Kitty Pryde from the future attempts to prevent an assassination in the present that will lead to a dystopian world where mutant-hunting Sentinels police the population, and the X-Men, are either dead, in camps or leading the underground resistance, we could see older versions of the characters – ie. as depicted in the Bryan Singer X-Men movies – appear for future-set cameos.
According to Newsarama, Patrick Stewart was asked by a fan whether he’d reprise his role as the X-Men’s telepathic mentor Charles Xavier, and he replied, “I think there is every possibility. Halle Berry! Famke Janssen! Rebecca Stamos! Anna Paquin! Yes, I’ll be reprising…”
So, it could easily happen… but, SPOILER ALERT will we see Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine roasted to his shiny skeleton by Sentinel blasts?
X-Men: First Class is available on DVD for £5 and on Blu-ray for £8 from Amazon.co.uk.
