Talking to Digital Spy, Danish actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays the not-so-perfect handsome prince Jaime Lannister in Game Of Thrones, revealed that Season 3 is a much more involving one for the character.

“We’re shooting Season 3 now and it’s going very well,” said Coster-Waldau. “Jaime Lannister, my character, he has a great year, it’s a great season for him. He’s out of prison and he’s on the move.

“The only thing I can say is we’re doing everything we can to make it even better. I hope we succeed.”

He might be cagey about details, but he’s not shy in his enthusiasm for working alongside the heavyweight new cast members like Diana Rigg, Mackenzie Crook and maybe Iwan Rheon.

“[People talk] about the Olympics, how great you’re doing, but you also have this amazing pool of great actors and I feel so lucky to walk on the set [with them]. Because I don’t live in England I don’t know all the actors and I’m not aware of this guy being famous for this, I just work with these people and they’re all ridiculously talented. Which is very scary, of course.”

Game Of Thrones Season 3 is expected to air Spring 2013. The Game Of Thrones Season 1 Blu-ray Gift Set is out 19 November 2012, pre-order it from Amazon.co.uk now.
