Buffy star James Marsters auditioned for a role as another vampire on True Blood last year. While not specifying who he would’ve played on the HBO vampire drama, he was apparently told he wasn’t tall enough for the role – something that Marsters didn’t quite get, citing his scraps with David Boreanaz, Tom Welling and John Barrowman as examples of his ability to provide a valid nuisance to the taller leading man. Last year, Marsters appeared in Supernatural alongside former Buffy and Angel star Charisma Carpenter.
