While I own all the DVD sets, and I agree that S7 was the weakest link, the show came back charging in S8 and S9 has been spectacular. I actually plan on going out with Friends after it airs on Friday night and that is a feat in itself. So if you gave up on Smallville, give it another chance as it truly is pretty magical stuff this year. The characters grew up w/ me so having them at the Daily Planet now, just feels right. Tom Welling is amazing as Clark Kent. Everyone should try to catch up so they can start watching again, then join us for the record breaking season ten next year. It's going to be amazing. It's definitely ranks up to the top of my favorite season. I think my top 5 favorite seasons were: 1. Season 3 2. Season 5 3. Season 9 (so far, so good) 4. Season 4 (I love the humor/lightness of this season: football/lois/senior year; Commencement = best season finale) 5.
