Dalek Turret
Film/Series: Doctor Who
Creators: Sydney Newman, CE Webber, Donald Wilson
Cast: William Hartnell, Tom Baker, David Tennant
Inside a Dalek is a useless fleshy organism with barely any mind of its own, rigged up by electrodes to a slow, cumbersome, four-foot tower of some stupid alien alloy named Dalekinium. They have no limbs, resemble a post-box on wheels and sound like Stephen Hawking with a phlegmy throat. They just wouldn’t be scary if it wasn’t for their deadly turrets. The new Doctor Who series sees humans being wholly disintegrated by this weapon, but old-school Daleks left evidence to tell their terrifying tale. The very thought of scrambled human insides puts us right off our breakfast.
