Bat'Leth
Film/Series: Star Trek
Creators: Gene Roddenberry
Cast: Patrick Stewart, Jonathan Frakes, Brent Spiner, Michael Dorn
The sword of Kahless was forged in 625 AD by the legendary Klingon warrior Kahless, who dropped a lock of his hair into a volcano, then took the flaming lock and doused it in the Lake of Lursor before using his sheer Klingon brawl to twist it into the Bat’leth.
Klingons believe all of this crap, and we’re really not likely to dispute this with one of them, especially as insulting their honour by disputing their religious beliefs would result in a duel using these vicious two-handed blades – and we would be extremely frightened even if an eight-year-old girl challenged us with one of these. Truly terrifying.
