Max
FLIGHT OF THE NAVIGATOR
Pilot: David Scott Freeman
First Appearance: 1987
Made of liquid metal, the robotic pilot known only as Max claims that his mission is to travel the galaxy, collect specimens and take them back to his home planet for analysis and then return them to the exact time and place they were collected from. However, due to a mishap during mind transfer, Max gains a personality and inexplicably begins behaving erratically, talking like Pee Wee Herman and becoming a much more colourful character. He can travel through space and time, morph T-1000 style into different shapes, and for some strange reason, speak Bulgarian – if that’s not a good enough reason to make our list we don’t know what is.
