Exasperated lackey to the grossly incompetent Zapp Brannigan, Kif has perhaps one of the least enviable roles in the entire galaxy, although he does manage (after several aborted telephone calls and some dubious advice from Zapp) to hook up with Planet Express cutie Amy Wong. An extremely sensitive and shy creature, Kif does boast some impressive skills, including the ability to change colours to blend in with his environment like a chameleon, to inflate his head to gargantuan size to ward off predators and, strangely, to bear young. Kif is never able to summon the courage to stand-up to his captain, so he opts instead to moan about him to anyone who will listen.
