Warned that the very next thing they think of will be the form the Sumerian God Gozer shall assume to destroy the Earth, Ray Stantz tries to think of the most harmless creature imaginable, which just happens to be the jovial-looking Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. Contrary to Ray’s claims that the spongy sailor “could never possibly destroy us”, he soon rocks up with nothing but devastation on his mind. The busters first use their Proton Packs to set him on fire but when that doesn’t halt his advances, they have to do the unthinkable and ‘cross the streams’ in order to cause a total protonic reversal, annihilating the bloated behemoth and showering sweet, sweet goo onto the streets of New York below.
