Written as a replacement when George Lucas couldn’t secure the rights to film his first choice, a little-known trilogy called Lord Of The Rings, Willow flopped on release but has lived on as a cult fave. Little Willow Ufgood, played by everyone’s favourite Ewok Warwick Davis, spends the entire film on a journey to return the child that will bring down the reign of the evil Queen Bavmorda, but it is his fearless and selfless stand against the powerful queen herself in the film’s closing act that cements his saviour status.
