Children Of Men
Year: 2006
Director: Alfonso Cuaron
Cast: Clive Owen, Julianne Moore, Michael Caine
Adapted from: The Children Of Men by P D James (novel, 1992)

To try and completely document the numerous differences between Children Of Men and its inspiration would take far more space than is available here but we’ll certainly have a go at summarising them. The main difference is that the rebel group does not turn out to be traitorous, while the pregnant woman is actually a member of that group. Instead of fl eeing the country, the child is accepted by the government shortly after Theo kills the Prime Minister.
