While the hapless Ash first met an evil version of himself back in Evil Dead II, it’s nowhere near as striking as the sequence Raimi put together for 1993’s Army Of Darkness. Making references to The Three Stooges, Bad Ash mocks, slaps and continually punches his unfortunate twin and looks like he may well have the upper hand in the confrontation. With typical Campbell cool though, the tables are soon turned, when good Ash, tired with all the put-downs, shows his hyperactive counterpart the barrel end of his sawn-off shotgun… “Good, bad, I’m the one with the gun.”
