Think what you like about Matrix Reloaded and its god-awful sequel, but there’s no denying that Neo’s fight with dozens upon dozens of Agent Smiths in Reloaded’s ‘Burly Brawl’ sequence is nothing less than an amazing slice of cinematic action.
Cool as hell and now imbued with the powers of ‘The One’, Neo kicks, punches and generally beats the living hell out of an endless sea of Smith clones and it’s exhilarating to watch. While a very similar sequence – replete with dramatic rain effects – exists in the pathetic sequel, it’s the original fight that’s managed to secure our top spot.
