Leader: Brain Bug
With millions of years of evolution behind them, they have been described as ‘the perfect species’ and are able to colonise planets by hurling their spore into space. The Bugs have established a very rigid social structure and have developed highly effective attack patterns. The screen representation of these pseudo-arachnids differs from the book, where instead of behaving like mindless drones they have learnt to pilot spacecrafts and use advanced weaponry. The one thing that is constant, however, is their courage and aggression as they refuse to back down from a fight. Split into very distinct factions or castes, each with different skills and battle traits, the Bugs are one of science fiction’s most well organised and dangerous armies.
