Cloned from Jango Fett himself, the Republic Clone Troopers once represented the future of galactic warfare and are far superior to any battle droid. Identical in look, physical prowess and mental capacity, the first Troopers were nurtured on the stormy world of Kamino and were commissioned by a late Jedi Master known as Sifo-Dyas. Using Fett’s genetic code as a template, the clones have been moulded into highly skilled fighters (although the way Jedi carve through them you wouldn’t know it) – they are schooled in various fighting techniques, vehicular combat and battle tactics. Originally created to protect the sanctity and stability of the Republic, they show unwavering allegiance – a trait Emperor Palpatine took full advantage of when he gave Order 66. With the Jedi gone, the Clone Troopers were under full command of Darth Sidious and later evolved into Stormtroopers – perhaps the coolest soldiers known to man.
