The Cybermen

Though the Daleks are probably Doctor Who’ most famous enemies, the Cybermen certainly come a close second. A race of cyborgs who were originally a wholly organic species of humanoids originating on Earth’s twin planet Mondas, but as more and more artificial parts were placed into their bodies, they turned into something very different. The modifications made the Cybermen coldly logical, calculating and devoid of any real emotion – a trait that has been used against them, as on one occasion the Doctor managed to unlock their ‘emotion files’, which led them to commit suicide. Hara-kiri aside, the Cybermen are a very effective army, nearly seizing control of Earth on several occasions, they have access to weapons of mass destruction and are certainly not afraid to shed blood in the pursuit of galactic domination.
