Chloe is working late at the Daily Planet when the Black Canary shows up at the office and attacks her. She runs to the roof and the Green Arrow shows up; a fight ensues and the Black Canary manages to escape with an information disc. She takes it to her employer, Lex Luthor.

Chloe tells Clark she has been doing some work on the side for the Green Arrow. Meanwhile Lois finds out her former beau is back in town and pays him a visit. The Black Canary shows up and attacks them, and Lois finally finds out that Oliver is the Green Arrow. Clark and Chloe work out who the Black Canary is – Dinah Lance – and rush to rescue Lois. But Oliver manages to convince the Black Canary that they are on the side of good and Lex is evil, and she rushes off with the Green Arrow to confront him. Lex pulls a gun on them but, when Clark shows up as well, he realises he doesn’t stand a chance against three superheroes.

Back in his apartment, Lois and Oliver have a long overdue conversation about their relationship. Oliver wants to give it another chance, but Lois refuses and heads home. The Black Canary requests a rooftop meeting with Clark and Oliver; she arrives as Dinah Lance and apologises. Oliver convinces her to join his Justice League.

At Kent farm, Lana packs up her things and decides to go stay with Chloe for a few days. Clark lets her in on some of his dark secrets as one last plea for her to stay, and promises to regain her trust.
