After seducing Lana, Bizarro learns that Brainiac is killing homeless people and using the trace metals in their bodies to regenerate. He tracks him down but Bizarro instantly realises that he is not the real Kal El. In exchange for Brainiac’s assistance regarding the fact that sunlight turns Bizarro’s skin to stone, Bizarro gives Brainiac information about a Kryptonian scientist named Dax-Ur living on Earth.

Julian Luthor tells Lionel that Lex has used DNA from his dead brother to create a clone. Lionel confronts Lex, calling him depraved for bringing back his dead brother. At the Daily Planet, Bizarro asks for Chloe’s help in finding Dax-Ur. Chloe grows suspicious when she suggests he use the Shield and he doesn’t know what it is, so she heads to Kent farm to share her thoughts with Lana. Bizarro shows up and says he and Lana are leaving Smallville. Chloe, flabbergasted, makes a hasty retreat.

Lana suggests maybe Kara took the Shield to the Fortress of Solitude. When Bizarro gets there, the voice of Jor El orders him to leave. Jor El causes an earthquake to force him out, and the real Clark’s icy coffin cracks open.

Clark speeds back to the farm and convinces Lana that she’s been duped. He then goes to Lionel for advice but, unbeknownst to Clark, Lionel is actually Brainiac in disguise. Clark uses the Shield to find Dax-Ur, who gives him some blue Kryptonite. Bizarro goes after Lana but Clark arrives in time with the Kryptonie and Bizarro is destroyed. Brainiac kills Dax-Ur and takes information on how to fix himself, and Lex has Julian killed.
