Clark uses the crystal hidden in the barn to teleport to the Fortress where, despite a warning from Jor-El, he uses the crystal to resurrect his mother, Lara. Zor-El arrives at the farm and confronts Kara, but claims that he’s changed and they can all be together again. He does the same with Lionel but, when Lionel refuses to trust him, Zor-El tries to kill him.
Meanwhile Chloe sees Lois and Grant kissing and is furious. Lois later tells Chloe and says she’s broken it off, but is lying.
Zor-El tricks Clark into wearing a ring containing blue kryptonite, which strips him of his powers. Zor-El takes Lara to the Fortress where Kara is waiting, but the two women band together against Zor-El’s plans to hurt Clark. Angry, Zor-El blankets the sun, planning to wipe out humanity, and offers to protect Clark only if Lara agrees to be with him. Lara finds a hidden dagger in the Fortress but, when Kara attacks him with the knife, Zor-El chokes her. Clark arrives with green kryptonite to weaken Zor-El – he stops the eclipse and destroys the crystal, causing Zor-El, Kara and Lara to disappear. Kara wakes up on a rainy street in Detroit with no memory of who she is.
Lex tells Grant that he is actual Julian Luther – Lionel gave Julian up for adoption as a baby, and would eliminate him if he knew. Clark goes to the Fortress to confront the Jor-El program, but it claims that it wasn’t responsible for Kara’s disappearance. It’s disappointed that Clark hasn’t learned his lessons and warns that there will be consequences.
