Talk about your eventful openers. In battling away with a twisted clone of himself (Bizarro), Clark causes a dam to burst open. Lex Luthor, who has been arrested for Lana Lang’s murder, is caught in the ensuing flood and nearly drowns. We say ‘nearly’ because the suited villain is saved by what he believes to be an angel. Of course, it isn’t an angel but in fact Kara, the blonde-haired cousin of Clark (Supergirl for short). Clark impales Bizarro on an electrical tower and goes off to take Lois and Chloe to the hospital. When they arrive, Chloe, who sacrificed her own life to save Lois’s at the end of season six, is pronounced dead. When she’s moved to the morgue, however, she resurrects. Naturally, Clark saves her.

Meanwhile, Bizarro has managed to fix himself using Kryptonite and goes off to ask Lex for his collection so he can destroy Clark. Lex takes him to his meteor storage facility but then, presumably because he’s actually a moron, turns on Bizarro. The confrontation doesn’t last long. After working with Chloe and The Martian Manhunter to figure the whole thing out, Clark turns up, albeit a little too late. He’s bashed by a recharged Bizarro and things look bleak, until… Clark discovers that sunlight doesn’t suit his doppelganger all that well and uppercuts him right out of the atmosphere.

Clark then meets up with Manhunter to have a chat about hero stuff and then we have a montage. The episode then cuts to China where we see a particularly not-dead Lana and then to a water tower where we see Kara changing her clothes. Then she flies off.
