Sarah leaves a message for a man named Sarkissian, asking about The Turk. In the kitchen, Derek places the T-888 memory chip on the table and says Cameron lied about destroying it. John asks if the chip can be hacked. They activate the chip and view a video of a woman who appears to have been married to the Terminator, whom she called ‘Vick’. John discerns the woman’s address and Sarah and Derek break in. They discover that the woman, Barbara Chamberlain, was in charge of the city’s infrastructure.
They find the body of a woman called Jessica, a lobbyist who was trying to stop Barbara’s work – a program called ARTIE (Automated Realtime Traffic Information Exchange). Fearing it is connected to The Turk, John suggests they create a virus to destroy it.
Sarah and Derek break into city hall and upload John’s virus, but the alarms sound and the upload is interrupted. They are forced to return home. John continues looking over the video, when his phone begins looking for an internet connection. Cameron warns that Vick is trying to reactivate. John realises they can use Cameron’s chip to gain access to the ARTIE system. John successfully hacks a traffic light control box and shuts down the network. Derek warns John that one of these machines will one day kill him.
Back home again, Sarah tells Derek that Sarkissian returned their call about selling The Turk. Sarah knows that Derek killed Andy and she threatens to kill him if he ever lies to her again. Sarah then watches a final video from Vick’s chip, which shows Vick reaching into the shower and killing Barbara.
