Cromartie breaks into the office of Dr. Lyman, a plastic surgeon, and demands surgery. Lyman is killed and Ellison arrives to investigate the crime scene. He checks the CCTV and sees Cromartie leaving with a new face.

Cameron works out that Cromartie followed them from the past, and Sarah tells John to prepare to fight the terminator. They locate and follow a shipment of Coltan metal, an important part of the terminator endoskeleton, which was recently diverted to the city. They spot a new terminator working with the Coltan delivery and John takes off, planning to destroy it. He accidentally gets locked inside one of the shipment crates and a workman discovers Sarah and Cameron. Sarah knocks the workman out, but before she can get through the warehouse, the truck leaves with John trapped inside.

Sarah and Cameron follow John to a depot. Cameron notes that this is the location where she will be made in the future. Inside the depot, the terminator powers down and, in order to escape, John has to get the key for the door from around its neck. He succeeds but the terminator wakes as he tries to make his escape; Cameron and Sarah manage to hold it off and they all escape in the truck.

Ellison visits Laszlo, the man who’s face Cromartie had the surgeon copy, to warn him that someone might be trying to steal Laszlo’s identity. Ellison, not knowing Cromartie is now Laszlo, gives Cromartie his card, and leaves.

Back home, John goes to finish his homework. Cameron looks over a piece of Colton she took, curious about her creation.
