EPISODE 06:
B.C.
US Air Date: 02/11/07
Writers: Erin Maher & Kathryn Reindl
Director: Paul Holahan

Beth is covering a fashion show when a model collapses and dies. Beth discovers she was implanted with a microchip and had pure silver in her blood. Meanwhile, Josef hires Mick to find his on-again, off-again vampire girlfriend, Lola – who just happens to have recently purchased a ton of silver with a million dollars of stolen money.

Beth implants the microchip into her hand in order to get into the VIP room at Club Valis, where all the troubles seem to stem from. Lola owns the club and quickly spots that Beth is using a stolen microchip. Lola tries to make Beth drink a vial of black crystal when Mick arrives; shortly afterward Josh and Lt Davis show up and search everyone, starting with Mick. Beth is furious.

Mick gives the black crystal to Josef, who confirms it is vampire blood – Lola is preying on her own kind. Unaware of this fact, Beth tries some of the drug. Under its influence, she goes to Mick’s apartment and tries to seduce him.

The next morning, Mick tracks Lola down to a warehouse and they fight – it ends with Mick slamming her into a tub of silver solution, which paralyses her, and blowing up the warehouse. Beth arrives in time to see the explosion, and is visibly relieved when she sees Mick on a nearby rooftop safe and sound.

Later, Josh is cooking dinner for Beth as she works on her laptop. Beth suddenly sees the black crystal vial behind the laptop’s lid; she nervously grabs it and hides it in a dresser drawer in another room, a worried look on her face.
