SEASON 4

EPISODE 2:
CONFIRMED DEAD
Air Date: 07/02/2008
Writers: Drew Goddard & Brian K Vaughan
Director: Stephen Williams

Four freighter people are watching the news report showing flight 815 on the bottom of the ocean: Physicist Daniel Faraday, Miles Straume, who appears to be psychic, disbeliever Charlotte Lewis and Frank Lapidus, a pilot who was supposed to be flying Oceanic 815 that day.

Faraday is the helicopter pilot who crash-landed on the island. The other three were in the chopper – Faraday tells Jack and Kate he is going to find them as asks for his help. They find Miles first and he pulls a gun on Jack and Kate, insisting that they killed Naomi.

Locke and the group find Charlotte, take her GPS transponder and attach it to Vincent, the dog, so Faraday can’t find them. Charlotte tries to leave but Ben shoots her – she is unhurt, however, as she’s wearing a bullet proof vest.

Jack’s group reaches Lapidus and they find the helicopter undamaged. Miles quizzes Juliet about Ben, showing her a photo of an adult Ben in an airport security line.

Ben is with Locke’s group tied to a tree, and Sawyer is giving him a brutal beating. Locke realises Ben is his problem and asks Rousseau to escort Alex away. He’s going to kill Ben – but right before Locke pulls the trigger, Ben tells them the woman’s name is Charlotte Lewis. He tells them her entire history, the names of her team members and that they are there for him. If Locke shoots him, he won’t get any more information about the freighter people. Locke asks how Ben knows what they want, and Ben simply says, “Because I have a man on their boat.”
