Civil war is brewing. In this episode
viewers discover that the people of New
Bern believe that they have justifi cation
for attacking Jericho. This episode sees
the show’s two strongest characters,
Hawkins and Jake, working together, a
partnership that has had a very positive
reaction from fans. They team up after
the citizens are surprised when trucks
arrive from New Bern carrying some of
the windmills, ahead of schedule – and
return most of their men. However, Eric
Green does not return and Stanley says
resentment is building in New Bern that
Jericho did not warn the town about
Ravenwood. Russell also whispers to
Jake that he should worry about Eric
and Heather so Jake decides to search
for him. They discover a perimeter fence
barring entry to the town and are only
let in because guards recognise Jake
as Johnston Green’s son. In New Bern
they go to the factory and meet a friend
of Heather and Eric who hands them
a note telling them to meet him at his
home later. There they discover a cop,
Perkins, staking out the place. Hawkins
threatens to torture Perkins until he tells
them what happened to Heather and
Eric. He tells them they sabatoged the
factory so they tie him up and head out
there. In the factory they fi nd evidence
that New Bern is preparing to attack its
neighbour. They discover the factory
is producing munitions not turbines
and then fi nd detailed maps of Jericho,
with its key resources highlighted and
divided amongst the people of New
Bern. They are interrupted and Jake
is captured and imprisoned. In jail he
discovers his brother, who tells him
Heather Lisinski had found out about
what was happening when she came to
New Bern to build windmills. She
had attempted to destroy
machinery used to arm
New Bern but was
discovered and killed.
The episode ends
on a cliff-hanger with
the brothers brought
in front of City Hall
while Constantino
rabble rouses a crowd
gathered there into the
case for war on Jericho.
