While out hunting, Jake, Stanley, and Mimi find refugees who died of hypothermia as they travelled south to escape the cold. They are then driven at by a black truck, which causes the vehicle they’re in to flip. They are robbed and injured and barely survive the cold but are eventually rescued, but not before Jake confesses to his dad that he murdered a girl while in Iraq. The plot then turns to Sarah and Robert, who visit an old man only to find him dead. His computer reveals half their team has been killed. Robert tells Darcy they must leave Jericho only for Darcy to reveal that Sarah is plotting against him. The episode ends with Sarah meeting a man in an alley who demands to know why she hasn’t yet located the “package” or killed Robert. In response she breaks his neck, telling him “this one is different”.
