Following the events of the last episode, Peter commiserates with Caitlin over her dead brother, and vows to go to Montreal to track down the killer. Caitlin becomes all gung ho and says she’ll go with him.
Sylar continues on his endless car journey with Maya and Alejandro, who wisely doesn’t trust him. In fact, he dislikes him so much that he begins to beat him up until his sister intervenes. Sylar openly admits that he’ll kill both the twins when he gets his powers back. Mohinder is becoming more and more like Professor Xavier by the day with his study of Molly. When he is told to inject her with a variant of the virus however, he has an attack of conscience and destroys the serum, breaking Molly out in the process. Before he does this however, he is paired up with an unlikely partner to find Adam Monroe – Niki. Meanwhile, HRG is getting in touch with his dark side in the Ukraine, as he questions an old associate about the location of Isaac Mendez’s eight paintings. When he finds out, he makes it seem like a robbery has taken place, and shoots the man dead.
On the other side of the world, Claire is having trouble with a particularly snotty cheerleader, so she and West engineer a scenario so she is arrested for underage drinking by the police. As a result, Claire makes the cheerleading team.
In the past, Hiro is still hopelessly in love with Yaeko. When he saves her, she kisses him, much to the consternation of Kensei. As a result, the man turns Hiro over to a group of White Beard’s men, who offer him anything he wants. Back to the future, and HRG finds the paintings, depicting a series of distressing events. Peter and Caitlin execute a Hiro-jump to further in the future, arriving in an abandoned New York. A sign shows that the city has been forcibly evacuated due to a biohazard, with the date being 14 June 2008.
