The Mexican standoff over Molly is calmed when Matt recognises the child. Hiro arrives in Isaac’s loft to find Sylar has Ando trapped, but he teleports them out of the room. Nathan learns that Linderman is dead and Peter arrives, revealing Sylar has gained Ted’s nuclear powers. Claire has fled and Peter is overwhelmed by his own nuclear powers. He has a flashback of speaking to his patient Charles Deveaux, who tells him he can prevent the blast. Bennet finds Peter and they and Parkman confront Sylar in the plaza. Parkman attempts to shoot him but Sylar repels the bullets, wounding Parkman. Niki arrives and rescues Peter, who’s about to explode. Hiro then arrives and impales Sylar with the sword. Sylar uses telekinesis to throw Hiro at a building, preventing Hiro from killing Peter, and a grey film envelops Sylar’s eyes suggesting he can see the future. As Claire is about to shoot Peter, Nathan flies down and repeats Claire’s statement that the future isn’t written in stone. He cradles Peter and flies into the sky as Peter explodes. Parkman is put in an ambulance as blood from Sylar’s body trails to a sewer. There is then a promo for the second series, ‘Generations’, which shows Hiro landing in a meadow as some samurai archers raise their bows to him. Hiro realises they are aiming at Kensei, who is stood behind him. Before the archers can fire, a solar eclipse darkens the sky and creates the logo that marks the start of each episode. |
