Just as Claire is about to shoot Peter he manages to stop himself exploding. He tells Ted their powers mean they must leave the city while Bennet and Parkman search for the tracking system. A concealed Sylar overhears their plans. He tips off the FBI who arrive and arrest Ted, but Peter and Claire use invisibility to escape. Linderman, aware that Nathan is becoming disillusioned, heals his paralysed wife Heidi. Hiro arrives at the swordsmith and finds his father, who tells Hiro he’s always known of his son’s powers. He trains Hiro in swordsmanship and Hiro sets off to kill Sylar, but discovers Ando has left to hunt him down himself. It’s election day and Linderman tells Micah he needs his powers to ‘talk’ to the computers. Micah successfully rigs the vote. DL and Jessica confront Nathan about why he didn’t kill Linderman and he reveals where he is if they agree to murder him. Bennet and Matt arrive at the building housing the tracking system at the same time and all four unite. Thompson is monitoring them but Matt’s telepathy saves Bennet, who kills his former boss by shooting him in the head. They are shocked to discover Molly is the tracking device and that they may need to kill a child, when Mohinder arrives and aims his gun at Bennet, who is aiming at Molly. Sylar hijacks the van holding Ted and cuts his head open to absorb his powers. DL and Jessica confront Linderman, who reveals Micah’s location. He offers Jessica money to kill DL and give him Micah but she reverts to Niki. Linderman tries to shoot Niki but DL jumps in front of her and kills Linderman by phasing his fist into his brain, but he is shot, dying in Niki’s arms. Nathan wins the election but as he greets his public Sylar looks down on New York and amuses himself with his new radioactive powers, smiling as he says, “Boom”. |
