All is not well on Mongo as the rift generator is becoming ever more unpredictable, just like the Sci Fi Channel’s hit and miss show then really. Anyway, the duplicitous Rankol attempts to get Flash’s dad, Lawrence, to fix the generator but he refuses. Back on Earth, a new rift appears at a skate park out of which emerges Genessa, Rankol’s bodyguard, who proceeds to knock out a dumbfounded onlooker, Craig. Dale arrives at the scene, followed by Flash and Baylin who then see Genessa disappear into the rift with Zarkov, who once again has failed to stop landing himself in trouble. Baylin, after explaining she knows Genessa, decides to go back to Mongo to save Zarkov.

Susan, a rival reporter of Dale’s, decides to air the story of the rift at the skate park, despite Dale and Flash’s protestations. Listening in, though, is Mitchell who abducts the duo. He knows all about the disaster at Lawrence’s lab and demands to know where the Imex is, using a truth serum on them to help his cause. Dale and Flash then give up its location up before deciding to fight back, which they do next.

Meanwhile, Zarkov agrees to help Rankol fix the generator as both of their worlds will be destroyed if he doesn’t but then Baylin arrives, and knocks out Genessa before hightailing it with Zarkov. A group of alien believers have congregated at the skate park and Flash, ever the quick-witted one, convinces Craig to tell Susan that he made the story up to get on TV. The crowd quickly disperses just in time before Baylin and Zarkov return, the sneaky doctor having pinched the vital decoded part of the Imex from Rankol. Back on Mongo, Rankol poisons Genessa because he can’t risk letting her live with the knowledge she now possesses.
