The episode starts with Jaime running through a darkened alleyway, injuring her foot as she jumps over a fence. When she arrives at a car however, we see that the cause of the urgency wasn’t apprehending a terrorist, but thwarting the rampantly out of control teenage passions of her sister. After a few sharp words, Jaime drags her back home.

Meanwhile, Sarah Corvus is capture by Berkut and brought to Headquarters for questioning as to the whereabouts of Anthony Anthros. Meanwhile, Jaime has her toe fixed and is briefed on her next mission – to rescue a doctor who has been captured by paramilitaries in Venezuela. The group says that it will behead him in 24 hours unless the CIA claims him, but Jonas says that he holds some sensitive information. Antonio and Jaime are dispatched, since a full-scale military operation is unfeasible. Once they arrive, they manage to free Dr Stevens, but Antonio suddenly reveals that the information he holds regards everything about bionics and Jaime. To protect the information, he must be killed.

Jaime takes particular exception to this and facilitates the doctor’s escape. As she herself exits, however, she is shot by more paramilitaries, and the pair hide in a store to avoid their pursuers. Stevens tells her that he must remove the bullet now, as the anthrocytes suppress the body’s instinct to reject foreign objects due to the bionics. He also reveals that they have a limited duration, and she will die in five years. As morning dawns, Antonio finds the pair and fights Jaime – she easily wins.

Back in the States, Jaime grills Jonas about why he didn’t tell her that she only had a limited time to live. Jonas responds by saying that five years is a lifetime in technology, and that he was trying to protect her. Later at home she mends some schisms with her sister, confirming that she’ll never leave her.
