Lee Adama publicly accepts his new Quorum seat for Caprica, but the media's real attention is on the missing ship Demetrius and its rumoured military assignment. Aboard the Demetrius, Kara is no closer to finding Earth and her crew's patience is wearing thin. When Anders tries to talk to Kara about the mission – and their relationship – they start to argue but the struggle soon becomes a passionate kiss.
Concerned about Galen's increasingly withdrawn and secretive nature, Cally is convinced that her husband is having an affair. Trust is also an issue aboard the Cylon fleet when Cavil is resurrected. The Sixes and Eights demand an end to the lobotomising of the Raiders, and the unboxing of D'Anna's line. Cavil agrees to discuss it with the others, who, surprisingly, vote in favour of the terms. The Resurrection Ship will have to jump to the nearest server to upload D'Anna's information; the Sixes and Eights say they would rather travel in their own ship. They jump, but the Resurrection Ship does not follow; instead a group of Cavil's Base Stars lie in ambush and destroy the Six's ship.
Cally follows Galen to a meeting with Tory and Colonel Tigh and overhears the truth – that Galen is a Cylon. Inconsolable, she takes her son and enters a Viper launch tube. Tory follows and calms her down, explaining that they are not evil and are the same people they have always been. Cally relents and hands over her son, but Tory attacks her, knocking her across the airlock with incredible force. Before she can escape, Tory leaves the airlock and vents Cally into space.
