FATHER-DAUGHTER RELATIONSHIPS ON THE BIG SCREEN – MAGGIE IN CINEMAS JULY 24
Arnie returns to the big screen for the second time this summer in the new zombie drama MAGGIE, in which he stars alongside Abigail Breslin. Schwarzenegger plays the protective father of Maggie (Breslin), who becomes infected by an outbreak of a disease that slowly turns the infected into cannibalistic zombies. Ahead of the release on July 24, we are looking at some of the best father-daughter relationships in film as well as giving you the chance to win a DVD bundle of some of the greatest Arnie films.

TRUE LIES (1994)
We’ve seen Schwarzenegger in a caring father role previously when he starred as a fearless, globe-trotting, terrorist-battling secret agent. When his daughter Dana (Eliza Dushku) is kidnapped by the enemy whilst Harry (Schwarzenegger) is on a mission, he quickly jets to the rescue to save his daughter.
INTERSTELLAR (2014)
One thing that everyone understood in Interstellar was the touching relationship between retired pilot Cooper (Matthew McConaughey) and daughter Murphey (Mackenzie Foy / Jessica Chastain). When Cooper is asked to pilot a space shuttle on a mission to save humanity from extinction, he leaves Murph behind to do her part.
KICK-ASS (2010)
Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage) and Hit-Girl (Chloë Grace Moretz) are the absolute kick-ass father-daughter team in this superhero black comedy. As a former cop, Big Daddy trains the eleven-year-old to be a ruthless vigilante in his quest to bring down the crime boss Frank D’Amico who had previously framed him as a drug dealer.
TAKEN (2008)
“I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you” is the infamous line from the ultimate protective dad, Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson). The kidnappers didn’t stand a chance when they took 17 year old Kim (Maggie Grace) from an apartment in Paris with sinister plans of sex trafficking, as retired CIA agent Bryan was hot on their trail and taking no prisoners.
MAGGIE (2015)
Wade Vogel (Schwarzenegger) is not ready to give up his daughter. After weeks of searching for Maggie when she runs away following her diagnosis, Wade brings his daughter back to her home, for whatever time may be left as the teenager begins an excruciatingly painful metamorphosis. Having lost Maggie’s mother years earlier, Wade is determined to hold on to his precious daughter as long as he can, refusing to surrender her to the local police who show up with orders to take her.
